Ant has over 20 years of experience as a musician, with a BA (hons) Degree and a Masters Degree in Music and Musicology from Bristol University. Ant has plenty of experience in teaching both adults and children, privately and in school and has an Enhanced CRB certificate.
Tuition is available for students of the piano, violin, guitar and mandolin. Ant also runs workshops for adult learners who wish to try playing folk music: The Raggedy Folk Players (see their page on this website and www.facebook.com/raggedyfolk).
Ant has excellent knowledge of current teaching materials and instruments, gained from over 5 years of experience working in music retail for Hobgoblin Music and Musicroom, as well as keeping up to date with contacts within the industry and researching the latest developments in teaching methods. ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall and Rockschool examination material is taught as and when required.

Ant can also offer one-off beginners’ courses, which include an introduction to reading music and all the basics for the required instrument.
Ant teaches at his home in Wells, but can travel to any pupils within the local area, although please note this will incur extra cost depending on location and time.
